The Last Masked Ball

A photo essay documenting the last iteration of the halloween-themed rave festival 'The Masked Ball' at the now-demolished Flambards, a family-run amusement park in Helston, Cornwall. The festival ran from 6pm till 6am, and featured multiple stages of House, Techno, Drum & Bass, Garage and 140. It was the one night a year the scattered rave scene of Cornwall came together in one place for a night, and the loss of both Flambards and The Masked Ball will be felt far and wide. (2024)
